OOTD: Sweater Weather

Well ladies and gentlemen… I can officially say that sweater weather is upon us!

With the bitter cold air creeping in through ceiling and window cracks, it is only fitting to grab your favorite sweater and get comfortable on the couch with a mug of tea and a good book. Sweater weather is a time we all look forward to. Intricate knitted patterns, fun colors, and cozy fabrics promise to keep us warm and stylish through the long and drawn out winter ahead. I suggest investing in a neutral colored, turtle neck sweater, because it will keep your neck warm and allow for a good hiding place when you don’t want to talk to anyone. Throw this garment on over any dress or pair with jeans and you are good to go.

When talking about sweaters, we cannot help but mention boots. As the twin to sweater weather, boot season comes at a time when we are all tired of wearing flip-flops and long socks become a must-have. There are many different types of boots; booties, riding boots, knee-high boots, snow boots etc. How do we know which pair to invest in? Real leather lasts the longest and I suggest choosing a pair that is classic and timeless. Boots with crazy designs or an unusual color will soon be rendered untrendy and matching your wardrobe will be a nightmare. Stick with the basics.

I recently bought these over-the-knee, black, suede boots, because they are super warm, comfortable and go with almost every outfit. They also elongate my legs, and I could use any height boost I can get. Wear this simple look for Thanksgiving with the family, at your High School’s football game, or on a coffee date with an old friend and you are sure to impress.
