Living in the cold and dry environment of upstate NY has tested and ultimately worn out my skin. With wind whipping my face at every turn, high-chlorinated showers, and a lack of sleep, the skin on my face has been left looking dull and in need of some special attention. In order to remedy the situation, I gathered my friends, a few all-natural ingredients, and multiple Pinterest recipes in order to create the most healing and replenishing of face masks. We also threw in some pancakes and good conversation in order to get our minds off of the thick banana mixture drying on our faces. Ultimately, the mask made my face soft and smooth.
Face masks and friendship seem to go together like the strawberries and bananas in a smoothie. These are classic combinations. It is important to practice wellness and share this practice with good friends. If we all support each other in the activities that make us feel good such as working out, eating well, and setting aside time to decompress, then we will help to strengthen our relationships and create networks of people who can rely on and trust each other. Make sure to set aside time to appreciate and enjoy your friendships. I have learned in recent years that if you do not take care of these meaningful relationships then they will eventually become just as worn out and in need of special attention as my skin has this winter.
